Conference Details

Now in its third year, PPCI is the UK's only dedicated primary PCI educational meeting. Hosted in partnership with the country's highest-volume PPCI centre (~1,100 procedures/year), it translates the latest landmark trial evidence directly into everyday on-call practice.

The 2026 programme introduces an entirely fresh set of topics, building on two previous years of content. Expect a keynote from BCIS President Prof. Dan Blackman and an interactive debate-driven format throughout.

Who is this course for?
This course is for the members of the team involved in PPCI.

Including: consultants, the cath lab nursing team, physiologists and radiographers are welcome to attend.

Dr Heerajnarain Bulluck, Interventional Cardiologist, LGI

"I joined LGI in 2021 and have an honorary senior lecturer appointment with the University of Leeds.

I completed my medical degree in Mandarin in Beijing, China, and trained in cardiology in the East of England Deanery, rotating in hospitals in Norwich, Ipswich and Cambridge. I obtained my PhD from the University College London on the role of tissue characterisation by CMR in STEMI.

I also completed a complex coronary interventional fellowship at the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Glasgow."

Dr Murugapathy Veerasamy, Interventional Cardiologist, LGI

"I have been working as a consultant cardiologist at LGI since 2018, and specialise in the management of ischemic heart disease, including assessment, diagnosis and treatment of chest pain, angina and heart attack (myocardial infarction). I individualise patient care with my experience in complex and contemporary angioplasty procedures and techniques.

My special interests include interventional cardiology and complex coronary intervention. "

CPD points will be accredited to this conference.
CPD points are allocated based on the amount time spent by a delegate in ‘active learning’. The conference programme is assessed by the accrediting body and a set number of point is granted based on the amount of time spent in active learning.
